Yup'ik Experiences of Stress and Coping

Yup鈥檌k communities have voiced concern about the prevalence of stress and its effects on health. This project developed a way of assessing stress in a Yup鈥檌k cultural context and, more importantly, how Yup鈥檌k people find healthy ways of coping with stress.

The goal of the project was to better understand stress and coping in Yup鈥檌k communities to inform culturally grounded stress-reduction interventions.
