性欲社

As I wrote in , the UA Board of Regents will meet next Monday, April 8, to make a decision about possible changes to teacher preparation programs at the University of Alaska. Specifically, President Johnsen is recommending that UA discontinue UAA鈥檚 initial licensure programs and transfer those programs to either 性欲社 or UAS. This recommendation comes in the wake of the loss of accreditation of UAA鈥檚 initial licensure programs.

I want to make sure it鈥檚 clear that 性欲社鈥檚 education programs are not affected by the loss of accreditation at the UAA School of Education. In fact, 性欲社鈥檚 School of Education recently earned accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, or CAEP, thanks to the hard work of the staff and faculty in that program. In addition, professionals within the 性欲社 School of Education are working very hard to both accommodate UAA鈥檚 education students who have already decided to transfer to 性欲社 and to ensure a clear path for other UAA education students, should the board vote to adopt President Johnsen鈥檚 recommendation.

You can find information about the April 8 Board of Regents meeting, including President Johnsen鈥檚 recommendation and supporting materials, . A series of FAQs can be found .

I would especially like to recognize our School of Education faculty and staff for their efforts to ensure Alaskans will continue to have access to high-quality education programs, regardless of the Board of Regents鈥 decision. The university鈥檚 students and Alaska鈥檚 children are counting on it.
